IntercityHotel Shanghai Hongqiao Airport

The hotel is right next to metro line 10 and just 300 meters from airport T1.

“ホンチャオ空港（ターミナル1）への移動がラク！”

The hotel sits right next to the Hongqiao Airport (Terminal 1) station, just a short walk from Exit 1 of the subway, which made it easy to spot the hotel name even at night and arrive without getting lost. Walking to Hongqiao Airport from there, and even moving from the subway exit to the airport without getting wet in the rain, was a big plus. The room was very spacious and clean. It would have been even better if there had been a bathtub.

The spot is handy for both the metro and the airport, and the room’s fixtures were generally satisfactory – the hair‑dryer worked well, the lighting controls were easy to use, the air‑conditioning was reasonably comfortable, the bottled water was a nice touch and the overall design felt modern. However, there were hardly any restaurants nearby, only a large mall under construction, and while the glass windows looked nice, their soundproofing was terrible. I couldn’t understand why road work continued through the night on the second night; it seemed unnecessary and, with the hotel fully booked, we couldn’t switch to a room away from the street, so even earplugs couldn’t block the vibration. The third night we were moved and the staff were very courteous, but given the uncontrollable construction noise, I probably wouldn’t choose this place again if I needed a good night’s rest.

The breakfast and laundry service were good, and the hotel is close to the airport.
