“Sicuramente sarà un’esperienza da non ripetere”

The building’s location is fine, just 5 minutes from the train station, but everything else was a nightmare. Finding the apartment inside the building felt like a treasure hunt. There was no signage at the entrance. After climbing 5 flights of stairs with a 23‑kg suitcase, a duffel, and a backpack, no elevator, I found a doorbell marked A&B, and I was overjoyed, thinking I’d found the right spot. I rang three times but no one answered; finally a neighbor opened the door from the other side, and he too ran a B&B. He helped me locate the booked accommodation, which was outside a wooden door on the first floor, then retrieved the keys with a code because I couldn’t open it in the dark, and called the owners to figure out how to unlock the door since it was locked. The washing machine had dirty laundry inside, the shower was moldy, the sink had hair, the bathroom wipes “Lancetti” were very hard, and the front door was difficult to open. If not for the neighbor pushing the door, I would still be stuck there. The breakfast was shabby, and the kitchen supplies were locked.

“Consigliato piacevole confortevole”

Very cute, clean, and well‑furnished with impeccable linens. Check‑in was convenient from a distance. The informal breakfast can be enhanced by buying fresh items from the pastry shop across the street. It’s in the heart of Porretta, so I recommend it. The only drawback is the steep spiral staircase to reach the room, which is definitely a limitation for anyone with mobility issues.

The location is perfect, the room is large, spotless, and quiet. I would have preferred something fresher for breakfast, maybe a yogurt.
