“Lovely but loud until midnight if you face the bar.”
We chose nicer rooms with lake views; they were spacious, well finished, and offered great sights. The air‑con worked well and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is a little out of town, but a tuk‑tuk was cheap enough. They were very helpful when our train arrived late, giving us a small room to freshen up. The bar “Satan” is a fun place, but the loud house‑dance until midnight made it impossible to sleep in the rooms overlooking it. The volume dropped a bit after 11:30, but not enough. In my room there were about 36 switches for plugs and lights, yet I still had to use the fuse box (as the porter told me) to turn all the lights off.
