If you’re into nature, this place nails it – cheap, clean and super simple, exactly what you’d expect for a two‑night stay. The views are gorgeous and you’ll hear birds and other wildlife all day. Only downside: the shower didn’t have hot water, which isn’t a deal‑breaker but worth knowing.

The location is absolutely beautiful, but the room itself feels pretty bare‑bones, even though the bathroom was tidy. Upstairs there’s a terrace with an amazing view, yet the “kitchen” is more of a joke – burnt pans, a stove that barely works, and the floor feels like it could give way. Apart from the scenery, it just wasn’t our cup of tea.

Arriving at night was a breeze thanks to clear WhatsApp directions and an easy auto‑check‑in; the volcano lit up the moonlit sky was unforgettable. Waking up to sunrise from the window was a real treat, and the quiet neighborhood away from the city center was pleasant, though low‑clearance cars might struggle on the dusty, pothole‑filled roads. The host, Salomón, was friendly and gave solid advice, and I’d definitely stay again – just wish the shower had hot water on those cool nights.

The volcano view and total quiet of the surrounding nature are fantastic, and the rooftop kitchen was a nice spot to hang out. The host was welcoming and always available, making the place feel safe and isolated. On the flip side, if you’re not a fan of insects, be prepared – cockroaches were everywhere, even under the pillow, and spiders were abundant. Also, avoid visiting when it rains; the hilltop location turns the access path into a mud pit.
