The inn is not far from the station, the staff were genuinely kind and helpful, there’s a shared bath in addition to separate showers, the room was spacious, and a fridge and microwave are available in the common areas along with a large manga library. I received an email saying that if I wanted to stay in my room during the day I’d have to pay an extra 500Y per day; I was shocked to learn this after booking, sent a message to try to negotiate but never got a reply, which stressed me out. However, once on site no extra payment was requested, so there was no problem. It seemed to be an automated message from COVID when hotels offered people to work in rooms during the day. Also, I couldn’t drop off my luggage before check‑in because no staff were present.
