The surroundings are stunning, the pool and garden are fantastic, and the outdoor bathroom is a treat. We went kite‑boarding by boat with a top‑class crew – everyone at Valampuri is lovely. After a week, consider adding extras to breakfast; otherwise it can feel repetitive.

Valampuri Kite Resort feels like a peaceful retreat in a quiet spot. The team is friendly and will arrange anything you need – travel, day trips, tuk‑tuk rides, cooking classes, and more. The pool and restaurant are beautifully presented, calm and relaxing. Food and drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. It’s a great place for relaxation, water sports, and a safari to Wilpattu. No complaints.
The welcome was warm, the staff were very friendly, the value for money was solid, and the rooms were well located; we ate very well. Breakfast came as a buffet with specialties.
The staff are very attentive, the pool is superb, and the restaurant is excellent (especially the breakfast). Kitesurfing was discovered in the best possible conditions.
The spot is great right on the wild lagoon, and the pool is a real bonus. Breakfasts are decent, and the open bathroom feels pretty cool. Renting bikes is a smart option if you want to stroll around instead of kite‑boarding. No loud music in the hotel. I recommend it.
