The location was fine, but they falsely advertised Wi‑Fi, claimed their data plan was expired, and lied about it; in the middle of the night they cut the power and the air conditioner stopped working.

I was left stranded because the hotel was fully booked even after confirming my reservation and check‑in time; the staff member I spoke to offered no help or apology, forcing me to scramble for another place at 10 pm—definitely not enjoyable.

The place is basic but cheap, a pass‑through hotel that can get noisy and crowded. Some guests say “I wake, everyone wakes,” but it’s affordable and you have options. Two breakfast spots are within walking distance.

The beds were comfortable and the bathroom stayed clean, and the staff were fine. Dinner was tasty. However, there was no hot water in the room; they even pointed me to the switch, which was useless. They knew the hot water was broken and wouldn’t swap rooms. The room lacked a tea/coffee maker—only a Nestea machine in the lobby—and had no toiletries. It’s not a beachfront hotel, and the facilities list actually lists its faults. Breakfast and lunch were missing; only dinner was offered. Single beds had no sheets, just a mattress cover.

My stay at Green Star Villa was very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were helpful and accommodating, especially Mahendran who provided excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this villa.
