The breakfast was decent and we were even allowed to pick a specific time for it the night before, but the room, bathroom and especially the beds fell short. The bed was only about 1.60 m wide with a single mattress, so when one person shifted the other was jolted as well – hardly any sleep. The pillows were old, very thin and no longer usable. The bathroom felt dated, cramped and in need of renovation, complete with a shower curtain that feels out of date. What irritated me most was seeing that the hotel does have nice, spacious rooms with normal‑sized comfortable beds and modern bathrooms – the other two families traveling with us got such rooms for the same price, while we got the sub‑standard one, and I only noticed this on checkout despite the hotel being almost empty.

I had a pleasant stay here, with the staff being extremely friendly and accommodating. However, I did notice that the bathroom had some issues with moisture and a bit of mold. Despite this, the overall experience was still positive.

The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the room was clean with a delicious breakfast. Although the location wasn't ideal for tourists, being in an industrial area, it was perfect for us as we were cycling between Mannheim and Mainz.
