The lodging was very quiet, clean, and practical, with a lovely view from the guest room terrace after hiking the GR7 from Saint-Bonnet de Joux; the bedding was excellent, letting me recover well; the kitchen had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and all utensils; the host was helpful, understood my supply issues, did grocery shopping, and filled the fridge before I arrived—big thanks! The location is a bit tricky for a GR7 hiker, about 1.3 km from the village of Gourdon, with no shops or food within walking distance; the guest house sits roughly 3 km from the hamlet “la Gare” (GR7 pass toward Mont Saint-Vincent), but a good taxi gets you there both ways.
