“B&B fantastico”
The property is in the centre, clean, and has new furnishings. Giovanni is very kind. The breakfast could use a little improvement.

The location is great, close to the city beach, promenade, Lido train station (daily trains to other beaches), public transport, restaurants, pharmacy, and shops. The place is spotless and fresh. Online communication with the host was excellent, though we didn’t meet in person. Check‑in and check‑out were self‑service. The ceiling is high, with plenty of shelves and drawers. The room and dining area are air‑conditioned, the price is attractive, the bed is comfortable, and blackout curtains effectively keep the room cool when absent. The sweet breakfast was “Italian style”: for five days it was the same—plastic croissants, plastic crackers, mini jams, milk, corn flakes, milk biscuits, yoghurts, two types of fruit, plus coffee and tea. We missed a board and iron for laundry; the host suggested using a local laundromat. The room’s AC was loud, and staying without it would be bothersome, though it worked well in “sleep” mode; the dining area’s AC was very quiet.

I’m from Reggio Calabria, so I can vouch that the hotel sits in a truly strategic spot, less than 7 minutes on foot from the Reggio Calabria Lido station, 3 minutes from Corso Garibaldi where the shops and eateries are, and close to the museum. The building feels brand‑new, with clear attention to detail, and the triple room we stayed in had comfortable beds and all the usual comforts. Giovanni, the owner, was accommodating and friendly. However, after four days I discovered that housekeeping and towel changes weren’t happening automatically; I asked Giovanni if towel changes were included and he said yes, but only upon request. It would have been better if that was a default, especially since we stayed seven nights. Housekeeping never occurred, so we had to empty trash cans ourselves; a cleaning service on the third day would have been essential. Breakfast offered yogurt, bottled juices, coffee pods, and pre‑packed croissants with single‑portion jam; nothing was missing, but the quality could be improved, particularly the brand choices. With a bit more attention, I hope this B&B earns more positive reviews because it has great potential. Good luck!

Everything was spotless, the staff were cordial and exceedingly kind, and I’ll definitely return and recommend it. The location is perfect, right near the train station, Cesare, and the start of the coast. Highly recommended!
