The nights were freezing cold and there were no heaters. Clothes took three days to dry, and the room lacked a table or wardrobe, so we had to keep everything on the floor. Half the time there was no electricity, causing all the food in the fridge to spoil.

The room was cramped and windowless, and the linens and towels were never changed. The toilet was tight, and I even spotted small insects in the shower. The location was inconvenient—2 km from San Julians center, not 400 m, and it was uphill.
