The spot is about 3 km from the city center and is run by an older Italian gentleman – friendly, but very basic. When I opened my room, two dirty towels that had been left by the previous guest were in the closet, and trash in the hallway hadn’t been cleaned for three days, so you could smell it as you walked by.

The area is beautiful and prestigious, very quiet, and there’s a nearby bus stop. We had a private bathroom, a kitchen with a table, and a nice balcony. The owner let us leave our luggage there until check‑in. However, we had to pay a €10 daily surcharge for air conditioning, which we only found out after paying. The shower didn’t always deliver hot water correctly, and we wanted to use the kitchen to cook and use the fridge, but we weren’t allowed. Also, it seemed risky that the gas cylinders, presumably full, were placed on the balcony exposed to the sun during the heat.

The property is close to bus stops, great for getting around the city, and it’s managed by a big elderly person who is very affectionate and kind.

During our three‑night stay, we hit an over‑booking issue on the last night. Mr. George, the host, quickly arranged a great alternative and handled everything, letting us enjoy a peaceful holiday. They were welcoming, kind, and showed excellent problem‑solving skills.
