The kids thought it was Santa's house, and they loved the field to run around in and the swings and trampoline.
Stan, the owner, was super friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.
The huge amount of outdoor space was incredible, and we felt like we had everything we needed to get away from it all.
The location is perfect, and the surroundings are just as peaceful as the interior.

The tiny oast house sat in a peaceful spot, and the garden was spacious, well kept, dog‑friendly, and had a seating area. The nearby country walks around the oast house had a lot of character and were very cute. However, the interior cleanliness fell short; I had to clean the fridge and microwave before using them, and the hand towel looked stained. The shower floor and kitchen sink were in poor condition, dust covered everything, and there were spider droppings on the bedroom floor. While tidying, we found a dirty plate with several dead insects, which forced us to cut our break short. We left a note for the host and the plate on the table, and he said he would look into the cleanliness, but no apology came, leaving us very disappointed despite the lovely surroundings.
It was a beautiful little retreat in a quiet spot, cosy, comfortable and clean. Stan was friendly and amiable, a real fountain of information, and the place was perfectly suited to our needs. The kitchen had literally everything you need. I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and family and would return again. If you’re visiting and don’t know the area, they have a small book with all the local info and what’s around. We only stayed overnight for a wedding, but I’d love to come back and relax. It’s a perfect oast‑asis!
“Uniquely Fabulous”
The secluded location was great, only a 25‑minute drive to lovely coastal towns; we took the kids to Quex Park, which was amazing and about a 20‑minute drive away. The setting was wonderful, with plenty of space for children to explore and be feral. The BBQ and firepit were great for the evening. There was plenty of space inside the house and it was well equipped. I have to mention the fairy lights…such a lovely magical touch. Stan is a super friendly, accommodating host. If you’re light‑sensitive like me, bring an eye mask because the curtains are not blackout. There are tables and chairs both outside and inside, and fans in both rooms to keep you cool in the hot weather. We’ll definitely be returning. I did mention to Stan that I’d like to see some kind of fence around the beautiful natural pond; he’s on it!
“Fantastic”
The location was great.
The setting was beautiful and the owner was very helpful when I got lost. It wasn’t the owner’s fault, but it was incredibly hot (climate changes).
