The house is extraordinarily beautiful. Set amid vineyards, far from anything, in a quiet location. The renovation and furnishings show a great deal of taste and attention to detail. The welcome by the house lady was excellent—very friendly, calm, and attentive. The view from the lovely room over the vineyards is a dream.

The place sits in the middle of the vineyards, up the hills next to a small village. The story of the place, the fantastic renovation, the beautiful view, the nice breakfast, the chance to buy bottles of wine as gifts for friends, and the kindness of the host person all made the stay special.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with great taste, and the staff is very welcoming. The breakfast is excellent and the place stays very quiet. However, there is no air‑conditioning, which is a drawback for a property of this level, and it’s a bit far from the conveniences.

We loved everything about Chateau Belair—the stunning chateau, the great location near the Sauternes producers and nearby small towns, the beautiful room with amazing views, the warm welcome and assistance from Prescillia, the surrounding vistas, the terrace breakfast overlooking the vineyards, and the restaurant recommendations.
