Casa da Maia Hostel really feels like a home away from home; the rooms were spotless and the breakfast spread was both tasty and varied. The staff greeted us warmly and were quick to help with anything we needed, and the resident cat, Bigode, was a fun extra. All in all, a comfortable and welcoming spot.
One of the best places we’ve stayed at—bright, tidy, and smelling fresh. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast served at checkout was delicious. Our room was cool thanks to a quiet AC, and the bathroom was spotless; the hostel cat, Bigode, was a charming bonus.
The house itself was nice, but the location left a lot to be desired.
The kitchen had everything we could need and the bedroom was surprisingly comfy. I’m already planning to come back.
