“Mi biztosan nem térünk vissza.”
The staff are very helpful and kind. The accommodation itself is in a fantastic location, the view is wonderful. The food at the restaurant is also tasty. The name “wine hotel” is misleading. The cellar is only a viewing cellar “just”, but we thought we could sit, drink wine, but we were wrong. The restaurant, and therefore everything, closes at 8pm, after that there is no possibility to drink wine, or even just have a glass of water. (And we wanted to drink wine in a wine hotel…)
The place was impeccably clean, the atmosphere quiet, and the natural surroundings beautiful.
“Wenn wir wieder in diese Gegend reisen, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder. Köszönyük.”
The staff were super friendly and the kitchen was sensational! The hotel is pet‑friendly. Nature is right outside the hotel with rabbits, pheasants, etc. For nature lovers it’s a wonderful experience. It annoyed us that a wine hotel was advertised but there were no vineyards or own wine. The name felt a bit misleading.
Flexibility and cleanliness. Also, that in the late evening you could come and go with a small stroller. Thus safety remained and comfort as well. In the room’s bin there was no bag and the bin was a cage-like structure, which could cause some trouble with children, but fortunately there were bags in the bathrooms.
“Nem ajánlom!”
The view was very pretty, and that was the end of the list of positives. The so‑called family room was absolutely inadequate: it didn’t meet the guests’ needs and was essentially unusable for families. In the bathroom the toilet seat was broken, the only handle dangled from the wall. The bathtub had a drain, the mirror had a lamp, the room had a night‑stand, and there was nothing at all that could be put next to the bed, nor a bedside lamp – it simply wasn’t there. The restaurant was overpriced, and the dishes tasted very weak. One side dish was simply not what was listed on the menu. When I asked the waiter, he firmly said that was the case. After a second question he went into the kitchen and returned to say that the chef “had looked at the side dish”, but was willing to make it for free, as it should have been prepared anyway. That was confusing. The buffet breakfast was very poor and the quality was below average. It was strange that both the restaurant and the breakfast room were located in a subterranean, bunker‑like space with no view from the narrow, low windows. All of this happened in a place where you could have enjoyed a spectacular panorama. The accommodation, restaurant, and food were a huge disappointment.
