“Great location but a little tired.”
Apart from the occasional rubbish, the beach location is lovely. I always go there to relax and grab a bite whenever I visit The Gambia. The price is very reasonable, and the breakfast is tasty. They recently built a fence at the beachfront, presumably to discourage casual use of the sun beds, so I felt a little hemmed in, but I understand why they did it. The staff are lovely and helpful. The room was very small and the whole place looks a bit tired, could use a coat of paint. The description says air‑conditioning, but in reality only one room has it, and you have to request it specifically when booking. I don’t usually like air‑con, but it would have helped in such a small room. They did provide a fan, but there wasn’t much fresh air circulating. It was rainy season, so mosquitoes were crazy in the evenings. A mattress protector would have been better than just a thin sheet on a well‑used mattress.
