The property was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space, three toilets, a well‑equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and pillows, a superb large balcony, an awesome corner bath, and stunning views and location. The duvets were very thick, and the wooden window frames were a bit dirty and mouldy.

We liked the view, swimming pool, and the place, but the sofa is old and dusty and needs to be replaced.

The balcony offered a terrific view and the rooms were laid out well with enough bathrooms for a family; the rooms themselves were a good size. Parking was available on site, though only one space was directly by the front door. The lodge featured a pitch‑putt, crazy golf, a badminton court, and a small swimming pool, all included in the room cost. The location was convenient for accessing amenities, but the lodge was a bit close to Blooms bar and the wedding pavilion, so it was noisy on some nights. The beds were clean, though a few were not as comfortable; the reception supplied an extra mattress topper that helped.

The accommodation was self‑catered. I needed a reading light, and there was no instruction for the TV.

The property’s grounds were beautiful, with stunning views over the lake, and the facilities—restaurant, pool, etc.—were excellent. Its central location made day trips easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was a bad smell in the badminton room that needed airing; otherwise, the whole property was great.
