The public transport connection is excellent. The location is great as a starting point for hikes. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen equipment is very basic.

The hotel offers a fresh bread service and a ski cellar, but it would be better if there were more bus connections to the Tschagguns ski areas.

The staff were friendly.

The host family was wonderfully kind, the apartment was lovely and close to all the sights, but keep in mind that they don’t speak English very well, whereas we didn’t speak German; still, they were truly sweet.

The family that runs the place—Irene, her husband, and their son Chris—were the most welcoming and warm hosts I’ve met; on the second day our car wouldn’t start because of the cold, so they jumped‑started it, handed us coffee, and told us stories about how the house was built while we waited; every little request—extra towels, pillows, kitchen supplies—was handled promptly; the house feels cozy, and even though Irene and her husband speak little English, we managed to communicate perfectly with a bit of effort and some chat‑gpt translation, making the stay the most pleasant; we’ll definitely come back! The only comment people make is that getting in and out of the driveway can be tricky, but as long as there isn’t a lot of snow it’s not a big deal.
