The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the meals were great while the room stayed clean and comfortable; parking was plentiful and it served as a convenient base for exploring the local area. However, reaching our room required navigating two flights of steep stairs with luggage, which was difficult, and although the staff apologized and offered to help with the luggage, that kindness was appreciated.

Everything was absolutely amazing – the room, its contents, the food, the drinks, and the staff all stood out as excellent. The only drawback was the breakfast window, 8:30‑9:30, which felt too short for me to fully enjoy a lie-in as I like.

The staff were hospitable and friendly and the food was good, but the room had a broken window that couldn’t open or close because the catch was broken, and there was no heating – an electric heater was given after staff admitted there was no radiator. I asked for a spare blanket and didn’t receive one; the TV on the wall was too big for the room and hit my head when I leaned close to the kettle. The large staircase to the room was expected in an old building, but the floor was sloped and the bed sloped as well.

The location was ideal and breakfast was freshly made with excellent portions; everything was spot on and there was nothing to dislike.
