The spot is great – just steps from the beach, a grill on site and the view stays nice even when it rains. The downside was the thin dishware, a steep climb to the room and the lack of lounge chairs or a parasol for travelers arriving by plane, plus the beach rental rates are steep.

The cabin sits up on the mountain, so it's quiet, surrounded by nature, and only a few minutes from both Punta das Canas and Lagoinha beaches – perfect for a relaxed getaway. The owners and their kids were always friendly and quick to sort any issue, which we appreciated. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the mattress; I prefer a firmer feel, and there was no laundry facility on site.
