The breakfast was good, and they even changed the menu a few days. The staff were very attentive, the pool was working fine, and the room and bathroom were cleaned every day. It would be nice if they installed air‑conditioning in the rooms, but the rooms were so cool on the day I stayed that I didn’t need a fan to sleep comfortably. Since it’s a bit remote, maybe the shuttle to the port is included in the service.

We enjoyed a great time at Suymar Ecolodge with our big family. Esteban and his family were very kind and helpful, making sure we had a fantastic stay and could explore the island fully. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we had fun with billiards, games, and the pool. The only downside is that you always need a taxi or bus to get anywhere, but the bus runs very regularly.

They made me feel at home and the rooms were always clean. I was given transport from the hotel to the activities I had planned and also to the airport. Breakfast was included, and dinner for an extra fee was amazing. Normally the food gives me stomach upset, but here it didn’t, so I could enjoy it.

The place is very calm. The only issue was that the shower had no hot water for the first two days.

Our room was even larger and nicer than we expected, with a kitchenette and a veranda. The meals were restaurant quality. Our host and his staff were very attentive and did an excellent job managing the property. If we hadn’t had a tight travel schedule, we would have stayed longer.
