“Mixed feelings”
Nature is great and the food was okay, but there are only two bungalows and 300 baht in the rainy season was good. I saw only two foreigners in four days on the island; 90 percent of the island was closed, no restaurants open, so you need to eat there in June. No power sockets in the room, no bulbs but they give you a portable light if it’s recharged. The room was full of spiders and other insects; the bungalow was far better. They don’t provide free water—charging 10 baht even for a hot cup of just water, and instant coffee costs about 30 baht. Food ranges from 60–120 baht. The owner smokes in the common area, sells pipes, and is not very talkative or welcoming.
