The Pension Oberjörg feels exactly like the Alpine lodge you picture – lots of wood, a cozy vibe and even solar panels on the balconies. Our room was spotless, the balcony huge and the view was stunning, and the Wi‑Fi actually worked perfectly despite what some reviews said. The location at 600 m gives you a cool summer climate and easy access to hikes or day trips to nearby towns.

This family‑run half‑board spot served tasty, home‑cooked meals and the hosts were genuinely welcoming, plus there are plenty of summer activities like cycling, hiking and a nearby river for a quick dip. The only hitch was the painfully slow Wi‑Fi, which forced us to rely on mobile data for most of the stay, though it didn’t ruin the overall experience.

The Oberjörg family were exceptionally warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were comfortable and the food was really tasty, adding to an overall pleasant stay.

The kitchen delivered excellent dishes and the staff were both helpful and friendly, which made the evenings enjoyable. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a mini‑fridge in the room, which would have been handy for snacks.
