The room was tastefully decorated, spacious, with wooden floors, a small table, TV, and curtained beds, and it was spotlessly clean. Downstairs offered water, coffee, tea, and snacks. The hostess was very warm, staying up to greet me when my train arrived at 12:30 AM, giving me a small gift, a free bike, and arranging a taxi to the train station when I checked out, making me feel like a guest in a beautiful home. It will be my go‑to place whenever I return to Hualien. The location is a little bit “far” (10 minutes) from the city center, which actually feels better because the surroundings are more peaceful and less touristy.
