The room was cozy, the on‑site breakfast was fresh and made with care, and the pool was clean. Breakfast ran from 8:00 to 10:00, which was a bit late for me, but because I had an early departure the staff kindly gave me a snack so I wouldn’t leave hungry. The rooms are very noisy because they have glass doors and windows that are not properly sealed, opening onto a balcony overlooking Ladeira do Sabão where many cars drive fast. The room also gets bright early in the morning because the door lacks a blackout curtain. For those without a car, you have to account for the uphill climb on the way back to the lodge.

The lodge is great; Jack and Gaspar welcomed us warmly, they are attentive and helpful. The coffee is wonderful, and Zú and Cleo are very caring and affectionate with guests. We only have things to thank and will definitely return.

The breakfast was great and the staff were helpful, but the mini‑fridge next to the bed was loud, so we had to turn it off to sleep.
