Staying at the Odori Villa Hotel was fantastic: the room was spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious, the night sky was beautiful, the hot spring was relaxing, and the comic wall throughout the property made it worth revisiting; however, the location is a bit remote, the nearest market is about a 15‑minute drive, and there were many flies outside in the morning, so wearing long pants and sleeves is advised.

The location is great, a peaceful area and close to the famous Dakedai Forest. The property was amazing at one point but hasn’t been well maintained since. The onsen, while OK in water temperature, desperately needs renovation. If management invests in it, guest appeal would rise significantly.

Dinner was tasty, reflected the season and showed real creativity. I didn’t notice any real drawbacks; it would have been nice if the sauna had been available.
