It’s peaceful, in a mountain setting, and the staff are very friendly. I don’t mind that the property is 25 minutes from Sun Plaza because I chose the mountain area, so I can’t say I dislike it—I actually really like it. Especially there’s a rooftop swimming pool.

The manager was very friendly, helpful, and polite, always ready to assist and gave us great tour tips. The room was much older and smaller than shown on Bookin.com, the pool was tiny (but still nice!), the breakfast was just okay. I knew the hotel wasn’t in Sapa, but the distance from Sapa turned out to be much farther than I expected.

The hotel is simple and far from the center. There’s no nearby restaurant offering clean services; only a simple village restaurant.

Nothing. A terrible experience. We would never return or recommend it. From the start it was a disaster. The day before we were writing to them all day and they didn’t reply. Communication was awful and we sensed something was wrong even before arriving. At check‑in Alex the receptionist treated us horribly and even laughed at us. The service was bad throughout. We also found him sleeping on a sofa, which seemed completely inappropriate for a front desk staff. Check‑in problems followed: they wanted to charge us an early‑check‑in fee, a breakfast fee (already included), and later insisted on cash payment even though it wasn’t mandatory. If we wanted to pay by card they claimed a 15 % surcharge for fees. That was totally unacceptable and should have been clearly stated before arrival. On top of that the photos on Booking didn’t match the real accommodation. The difference between the advertised and actual was obvious and we felt completely deceived. The situation was so bad we left that same afternoon because we didn’t want to stay even one night. After we left, the hotel itself wrote to us apologising and asking us not to leave a bad review. They also offered to lower the price if we left a good rating. I told them no way and that they wouldn’t trick more people that way. All of this makes me think we’re not the only guests who’ve had a similar experience and they try to fix bad experiences by asking not to make them public.
