“Wonderful , slept comfortably and will be back for a latte as it was so good”

We checked into a clean, quiet room even though it faced the main road. The room was tidy, comfortable, and the bed was very good – I’m picky about beds. Breakfast was fine; the latte and hot chocolate were excellent, and the chips were great! The cakes were dry, though. We didn’t have dinner because we were at a party, but overall it was a good place and I’ll book it again if I’m in the area, or at least stop by for the latte and hot chocolate. The staff were pleasant and I can’t fault this place. We were served dry slices of carrot cake and salted caramel, possibly because they had been sitting for a while.

The bedroom and bathroom were nice. Breakfast service was poor, and the water for tea was warm instead of boiling.

The hotel’s central spot and comfy room were great, though I had to turn on the light in the bathroom because it had no window. The hospitality tray came with proper china mugs, drinking chocolate, biscuits, tea, coffee, and more. No complaints overall, but the free on‑site parking helped, even though some of my group had to find other spots when they arrived. I had to wait until I got home for my favorite whisky, as the bar had no ginger wine.

The pub bar had a nice garden and parking was available, but the rooms felt a bit quirky. The tap in our room didn’t work and basic breakfast items were missing.

“Staff were welcoming and excellent in their customer relations. Hope new owners retain hotel as it is.”

The welcome and comfort were spot on. The only downside was the car park.
