“Excellent, unbelievable attention to detail.”

The place sits right in the historic centre next to Teatro Belini, and the rooms are spacious, stylish, and modern inside a historic building. The host was very friendly; we didn’t book breakfast, yet Roberta still gave us coffee before we headed out for our early train. The shower was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is in the centre, just a five‑minute walk to Duomo piazza and Etnea street shopping, but there’s a lot of construction going on because of the recent flood.

“Thoughtful touches and a fabulous breakfast”

It’s close to Catania Centrale, and the proprietor has turned her B&B into something special with extra electrical converters in each room, an open bottle of limoncello in the lobby, an iron and ironing board in the room, a very comfy bed, and super soft sheets. The shower offers multiple jets and great water pressure. The entrance is a series of doors—first a large wooden door on the street, then a courtyard door, then the B&B door, and finally the room door—so I felt like a spy sneaking through; it was fun. And there’s an elevator! Breakfast is homemade by Roberta, with a large menu that includes omelettes, eggs Benedict, homemade cake, and many other options. The pistachio cake after breakfast was unforgettable.

The landlord was very attentive, and the breakfast was extremely extensive with freshly made omelets and homemade cakes.
