The Bernard Rooms

“Big disappointment and over priced accommodation”

Nothing disgusting room. No one was available upon arrival; we had to go to the bar to get information. We are three 70‑year‑olds and were not told about the 46 stairs to the room. One hand towel for two nights, three days for three adults, one bath towel, the door lock was broken and wouldn’t lock, the walls were filthy and disgusting, the bathroom had water everywhere, poor setup, no chairs to watch four TV channels. Worst room ever! Social media will be advised and so will…

“Fair”

I didn't encounter any issues, but the rates were very high.

“We won’t be going back to this accommodation and feel it was totally over priced.”

The location was convenient, yet the entrance smelled bad and the back door was left wide open, creating a fire hazard since we were on the top floor with no other exit. The rooms looked like a real state and needed repairs, nothing like the photos, and we even found medicine under one of the beds.

The building had a persistent cannabis odor.

“Awful from start to finish!! Dreadful customer service!!!”

We were pensioners on the top floor with no lift and had to lug suitcases; the TV was dead, the remote batteries were empty, and the ceiling light didn't work, leaving us in darkness after dark—photos show the faulty switch. We only received one small towel, and the miniature toiletries were half used by others. There was barely any toilet paper, and the milk sachets by the kettle were two months past their expiry date—photos confirm this. I messaged the owner but got no reply after they initially promised more towels and toilet paper. The customer service was extremely poor.
