It’s close to Kyoto Station, and the owner was kind—he kept our forgotten items and waited for us to pick them up. There’s no elevator, the stairs are narrow and steep, and with three of us it felt a bit cramped; the bathroom was also quite narrow.
The room was great, the bathroom was clean and new, and the separate shower with heating was very new. I expected the futons to be less comfortable, but I slept very well. The location is a bit far, and there’s no elevator to reach your floor.
A spacious and tidy place that comfortably fits four guests.

For Japan, the accommodation was very spacious and the staff were attentive and helpful. I think it was the best place we stayed in Japan. It’s also super close to Kyoto Station and well connected to all kinds of buses. The only downside is that there’s no elevator, so if you’re heavily loaded you need to plan for that.
