“La Sicilia accogliente e genuina”

Mrs. Daria is a woman from another era—strong, determined, genuine, and especially very welcoming and kind. The farmhouse takes you back in time. We found the people there very friendly and easygoing. It’s located in a quiet area yet still convenient for reaching places like Scicli, Modica, Ragusa, and Noto. If we’re looking for the tiniest detail, the oven was missing and perhaps a brighter light in the room would help.

It’s an old farmhouse a short distance from Modica and Ragusa. The kids enjoyed the outdoor space, even playing with the house’s pets. It’s a different experience from typical city rooms and apartments, and our apartment was very large. Unfortunately, the cleaning was somewhat lacking, as was the maintenance of certain items (for example, the bidet faucet sprays everywhere, the window latch is faulty, the shower’s hot water is intermittent, and the light‑weight curtain lets in too much light early in the morning).

The old house is wonderful, with beautiful gardens and a quiet location away from the main road, so it’s absolutely peaceful at night. The room was spacious, had a terrace, and was well equipped with everything needed. Supermarkets, restaurants, and other amenities are about 5 km away in Ispica by car. The host was very nice and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Some of the kitchen dishes would need to be replaced.

The host and staff were extremely friendly, the house and patio looked gorgeous, and the apartment was roomy; we felt welcomed with our dogs and truly enjoyed our time. The only drawback was that this particular apartment gets a bit dark once the weather gets cold enough that we can’t open the patio door, though the other rooms might handle it better or the issue would disappear in summer.
