The place was very clean, the internet was good, and the old building was awesome.

The room was clean and did what we needed for our two‑night stay. You get what you pay for: the place feels more like a guest house, the building is a bit old and run down. It sits right on a bus line and is a short walk to a Tube station, yet it’s quite far from everything we wanted to see in London, so we spent a lot of time traveling to and from the hotel. The bathroom was tiny – we couldn’t even bend at the sink to wash our face or brush our teeth without opening the door. We chose this spot partly because a review mentioned the downstairs restaurant/bar was great, but that spot wasn’t even open; it was just a storage area for linens and other hotel items. Really odd.

It was too noisy; the soundproofing was bad.

They change towels daily and there’s a kettle with tea. The photos online promise a lot more than you actually get: the rooms are cramped, the bathroom is only 80 cm wide, and the door slams against the bed when opened, so it can’t open fully. The restaurant/bar no longer exists; the space is now used for laundry. The garden area is closed. The hotel feels more like a hostel; price‑performance, in our opinion, isn’t right.
