The only bright spot was that parking in front of the building was easy to find, but otherwise nothing else worth mentioning. The stay turned out to be a nightmare that ruined our holiday. I booked a three‑night stay with air conditioning, yet upon arrival we discovered it was not working. I immediately informed the owner, who came to inspect and tried a couple of fixes, but nothing worked. Because we checked in late Saturday afternoon, the owner’s solution was to give us a fan for two nights and postpone a technician visit until Monday, essentially saying “deal with it for two nights of three.” The apartment was on the ground floor with few windows that could be opened to circulate air, so the night was a torment and we couldn’t sleep due to the heat. While wandering around the house that night, I also spotted cockroaches moving between the kitchen and bathroom. I filed a complaint with Booking, which only prompted the owner to find a solution. The owner, annoyed at being contacted by Booking, started distancing himself from us, demanding the tourist tax without even providing a receipt and charging more than the municipal regulation allowed. I paid the tourist tax in full after a long, heated phone conversation with the owner. Even on Monday the air conditioning was still not fixed, with the technician stating that the motor was broken and needed replacement. In short, three nights without sleep because the promised air conditioning didn’t work, ruining the entire trip.

“Vše v naprostém pořádku”

The accommodation was great, fully equipped, and the owner always answered our questions and requests immediately. We especially appreciated the terrace seating. Parking was always easy to find around the house. It’s a bit far from the city centre (about a 45‑minute walk), but it’s a pleasant stroll. I definitely recommend it. The only downside was that the bedside lamps were missing batteries, so we had to use bright, cold light all the time. Some of the blankets were itchy.

“Da ritornarci.”

The apartment was spacious, the kitchen was simple but functional, the bathroom was tiny yet complete, and there was a nice large living room with a sofa and a table with comfortable chairs. The large double bedroom had a window, and there was a private courtyard. I didn’t find any personal issues. Minor annoyances didn’t affect the pleasant stay; a few euros are enough for personal comforts. The area is a bit peripheral, but it’s quieter in return.

“Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Ma casa vecchia e poco accogliente. Ottimo host”

The host was very kind and responded quickly on WhatsApp. He even reserved a parking spot in front of the house with a gate. The house was clean and fragrant. The neighbourhood is busy, with dirty streets (common in Catania). The kitchen and bathroom are very old, giving the impression of an unwelcoming home.
