“A terrible hotel experience”

When we checked in, we learned that some rooms were under renovation, but the hotel didn’t tell us beforehand. They claimed the renovation hours were 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., yet workers started knocking at 7:30 a.m., ruining our sleep. After reporting this, they moved us to a supposedly higher‑quality room, but it felt below the standard of our original room. We asked for a discount, but they refused. This whole situation felt unreasonable and inappropriate.

The facilities were very old, the reception desk moved too slowly, and there was no option for late check‑out.

The location was superb, the staff were great, and the place was clean. However, it was very noisy at night; I was woken up 10 times by other guests, and the rooms are highly sound‑transmitting.

Wy and Kim were friendly and the service was excellent; I was able to leave my bag there. The outdoor restaurant is good, especially the skewers.

I stayed in a room where the bed faced the entrance, which was really inconvenient, and the air‑conditioner was so loud and poorly insulated that I couldn’t sleep; the neighboring room’s conversations were crystal clear, and the night‑shift front‑desk staff were unfriendly. The location right in the middle of the Japanese street was bustling and lively, and the bellman was enthusiastic and helpful.
