We picked this place mainly for the pool and the promise of being close to the beach and the little town center. The sand in Atins is super fine, so walking around was a workout—first time we were wiped out by the afternoon sun, but after a 20‑30 minute stroll we got used to it. The rooms are simple, but the AC is solid and the breakfast is basic. The best part? It's next to the great Restaurante da Sessé and a small emporium for essentials.

“J’y retournerai”

The place is spacious and the hosts and staff are super friendly, making it feel calm and authentic. They even handled the taxi booking back to Barreirinhas for us. The bathroom feels a bit dated, and the breakfast options are limited for a pousada; there's no spot to leave your stuff or a bedside lamp either. Still, the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming.

Location's solid—supermarket right next door, staff are nice, and they keep your luggage safe. But the mosquitoes are relentless, and you can hear the noise from outside. The room's yellow paint, the sink and toilets are yellow, and the shower water splashes onto the toilet. Trash isn't emptied unless you ask, walls need repainting, and I only got one towel instead of two.
