“Great Stay”

It was close to downtown, the staff were AMAZING! My room was clean and comfortable, and the valet service was great too. The rooftop bar, restaurants, and pool were closed, and there was an air‑quality issue at the time.

The spot was spot on, the staff were fantastic, the room was spacious, and it was the ideal place to visit my son at VCU, though parking wasn’t included in the room rate.

“Very nice and reasonable priced hotel”

We chose this hotel because it’s only a 9‑minute walk from the Altria Theater, and the rooms were clean with nice furnishings, a comfy bed, a breakfast spot, a ground‑floor bar, and a rooftop bar and restaurant that closed due to rain that night; I’d definitely return to Richmond for this place. The valet parking was a separate service, advertised at $37 per night but actually $44, required online payment with an extra tax or user fee, and the tip had to be added online with its own fee—no option to tip in cash or skip it, which was frustrating since I’m used to a quoted nightly rate that includes parking.

The hotel’s proximity to the theater meant we didn’t have to drive, and both the valet staff and front desk were excellent. However, the restaurant and bar staff were less friendly; a young woman handling cold grits told me she’d have to go upstairs to warm them, so they’d be cold again when returned, and we were left without a dipping sauce for the chicken tenders we ordered the night before—despite the price, the food should have been warm and satisfying.
