The quiet, the garden and the host’s explanations were positives, yet the garden was a bit cluttered and the pool was not very usable.

Everything was perfect: spacious rooms in the back of a lush garden, excellent host welcome, and a superb fruit basket at breakfast. The only minor drawback was that the hotel only offered soap and shampoo in tiny individual sachets instead of refillable dispensers, which I didn’t use. While the fruit basket was delightful, the assortment of sweet breads that followed was disappointing and not very healthy. It would be better to have regular bread or tortillas with traditional dry beans (“frijoles”) that could be warmed, perhaps with a bit of grated traditional cheese.
