“Muy agradable”

The garden is beautiful, full of fruit trees you can taste at breakfast. The pool is very pleasant and well‑heated. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with daily housekeeping. The Balinese‑style bathroom is semi‑open, with a lovely shower. They also provide a large bottled water dispenser in the room. A special thanks to the family who runs it – they’re very kind, explained many things, helped us book an excursion, recommended activities and sights, and shared their love and respect for their culture and country.

“En skuffende oplevelse”

We had a very disappointing experience at Tegal Sari and decided to leave after only one night, even though we had booked seven. The garden and pool were nice and cozy, but the standard of our bungalow – especially the cleaning – was far below the high rating of the place. At arrival we found dried feces on the toilet edge, visible dirt in the kitchen sink and bathroom, and dust and grime on walls and other surfaces. We had to wipe them ourselves before we could set our things down. The fridge was only cleaned after we arrived and still smelled strongly of mold, so we didn’t want to store food in it. We contacted the owner the next morning and told him we wanted to cancel the remaining nights and get a refund because of the conditions. The owner had left due to a family illness. When we didn’t get a resolution, we reached out again for help because we couldn’t contact him from Bali. Unfortunately, that didn’t lead to a solution. We had already spent part of our vacation dealing with the situation and didn’t want to waste more holiday days on it. So we moved on and contacted him again after we got back home. He later reviewed the case and refunded 50 % outside of Tegal Sari. We have photos and videos that document the conditions. It’s surprising that Tegal Sari has such a high score. On the same trip we stayed elsewhere in Pemuteran, which was a bit more expensive but had a markedly higher standard and a lower score. We’re not writing this to harm the owners or the place, but because justice must be served and other travelers should be able to form a realistic picture of what to expect. The garden and pool area were positive, but the cleaning and overall standard of the bungalow were unfortunately so unsatisfactory that we chose to leave after the first night.

“A beautiful and peaceful stay with incredible hospitality. 10/10!”

The place was flawless—Ketut was super kind, thoughtful, and attentive throughout, and the rest of the team were great too. The property itself is stunning, with a beautiful garden full of flowers and fruit trees. Breakfast was tasty, and I appreciated the meticulous care and attention to detail. I felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. A perfect 10/10 experience! Nothing negative; it was all wonderful.

“Kleines Paradies in Strandnähe”

The bungalows sit in a lovingly maintained complex with a nice pool. The setting is quiet, yet the town centre is within walking distance, and the beach is also easily reachable on foot. The atmosphere is family‑friendly with very nice hosts who genuinely care about guests’ well‑being. We can only recommend staying there!

The host’s kindness and passion for his garden made chatting a real pleasure. The garden and pool are exceptional, and he readily shares many of his garden’s flavors—a true discovery! The food served is high quality, and breakfasts are very good, though there’s no option to choose. The street leading to the cottage is full of dogs; if you’re afraid of dogs, walking there can be difficult.
