The room was snug and the bathroom spotless, but the bathroom light and fan took a long time to turn on, and there’s no manual switch—kind of annoying at night.

The location is convenient for walking the Viking Way, but when I went to breakfast I found no one there. A staff member arrived about 15 minutes later, and I was told the chef was on holiday, so I ended up with no breakfast. I was told not to leave a negative review, but after emailing and calling the property with no reply, I feel I have to mention this. I tried the contact number for emergencies, but got no response—worrying if something urgent came up.

The room was lovely.

I was working nearby and just needed a bed and shower, no extra hotel perks. The service was top notch, and I didn’t use breakfast, packed lunch, or tea this time. The full service is available for anyone working in the area. No complaints overall, except a couple of nosy people in the corridor—probably a one‑off. The bathroom light and extractor fan were on motion sensor, maybe a bit too long before turning off.

It’s close to the train station and the airport, and the communication was great. The place is clean and tidy, making it a great spot for short layovers and better value than the Hilton at the airport. Some might say it’s a bit dated.
