“Breakfast was good, location and view excellent. But with out a coffee maker, would not stay there a”

The balcony offers an incredible sea view, which is great, but there is no coffee maker in the room. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that lacked a coffee maker; I wanted to wake up, brew coffee, and sit on the balcony to enjoy the view. The room was next to the staff closet, and staff entered and exited all day, slamming the door each time, which was quite annoying.

“Viel tegen, maar de mensen waren lief”

The location and friendly reception staff were nice, the cleaners were good, and the dark‑skinned chef at breakfast could cook great eggs with a wide smile, making our breakfast perfect; we also received adorable little cakes from the hotel. The staff’s kindness helped offset the fact that the place felt outdated for a four‑star hotel and didn’t offer good value for money. The beds were hard and creaky, with a wooden frame and plank instead of a proper slatted base, topped by a stiff mattress, leaving me with back pain. It felt odd to sleep under a gigantic photo print of a 1960s musician each night. The dining room was noisy with many groups and odd music choices. The pool was too cold to swim in at 25 °C outside, though the beach was within walking distance. The shower had a weak spray, barely rinsing shampoo out of my hair.

“Good value”

The location and facilities were good, but there was no mirror in the bedroom and no stool in the bathroom.
