“Razón y sentimiento.”
The facilities are dreamy…but what tops them is the hotel staff. Thank you, Keyla.
“Beautiful hotel!”
It’s a beautiful hotel. Breakfast was delicious. My room was outstanding. The location was perfect for those interested in the old city. Most of the staff was well trained and helpful. Check‑in was a bit rocky; they use those gadgets you have to scan for information. My phone wouldn’t read the code, so I had to go to reception several times to ask about the safe, hot water, breakfast hours, and minibar prices. Luckily my room was very close to reception.
“The best location to explore the city but too tired and in need of updating.”
The location scores a perfect 10/10, ideal for exploring the old city, and breakfast was superb with comfortable beds. We began in the worst room at the back of the building, switched rooms mid‑stay, and the new room was fantastic except for the cold shower. Unfortunately, the original room had a mouldy shower that never got hot, a sink that only supplied cold water, and a toilet that constantly smelled like a urinal. The building feels tired and in need of a full update. We stayed for a week hoping to unwind by a pool in the afternoons, but there’s no sun on the downstairs dip pool and the rooftop offers only a windy steep access to a jacuzzi with a few beds for sunbathing. Communal areas aren’t relaxing; the ‘bar’ feels unwelcoming and the ‘spa’ is just a bed in a cupboard‑sized room. It feels more like a B&B than a hotel. The staff were friendly, so if you just need a base to sleep while exploring the city for a couple of days, it’s fine, but don’t expect a hot shower.
“Very pretty but wouldn’t Return. It’s not worth the price”
The staff was wonderful, the location is fine if you don’t mind a loud neighborhood, the house is beautiful, definitely not for kids. The street noise and the price are not worth it.
“Lujo, historia y ubicación inmejorable”
A truly one‑of‑a‑kind stay at Casa de Alba, where luxury meets a prime spot right in front of the Cathedral, smack in the heart of the Old City. Its historic ties to the pirate Francis Drake add extra charm, elegance and character, making it a highly recommended destination.
