“Amazing, highly recommended to everyone who is planning to visit Switzerland and France”
I stayed nine nights here and truly enjoyed the charm of the small suburban town and the authenticity of an old house that’s been modernized with all the comforts you’d expect. It’s only a 10‑minute walk to Cornavin railway station, my main destination, and close to the airport and train station, which is essential for travelers. The area is quiet and suburban, with a nice garden view. The only issue is that the cleaners should take out the trash more often than twice a week because it piles up quickly, especially with many guests.
“Too much hassle, no real free parking and a shared kitchen and bathrooms that are never cleaned.”
From the get‑go, this place was a headache. I booked hoping to avoid the typical Airbnb hassle, but it was full of that same nonsense. After booking, I had to send a selfie with my ID and a 150‑Euro security deposit. I felt I couldn’t mention any issues or cleaning needs because I feared the deposit would be withheld for no reason. I was also told I’d need to video any problems within the first two hours or I’d be held liable, so I spent a lot of time searching for potential issues. “Free parking” was misleading; it meant public parking, with very few spots outside and a 1‑minute‑away option that only lets you park 1.5 hours at a time, so I eventually had to park on the other side of town. The place looked clean at first, but during our week there was no one to clean. The bins were always full, the kitchen was almost always dirty and infested with flies, and the dishwasher was full of mould—so we never cooked there again. The garden was a mess, apparently unmowed for months, and although they advertised a BBQ, there wasn’t one. The staff did the bare minimum: they didn’t take out the bins or change the sheets and blankets, which you had to remove before leaving. We only received half a roll of toilet paper, so we had to buy more for the week because bathrooms rarely had supplies.
“Excellent, serene, cool and lovely facility”
The cleaning was regular, nothing else to note.
“Home far away from home-i loved the place. It is a homely environment”
The house’s vibe was on another level, and I appreciate how promptly my questions were answered. It’s very clean, and I’ll definitely return. My friends will be coming soon. For stays longer than three days, extra bedding for changing would be helpful.
The host was quick to respond, the rooms and common areas were nice, and the location was convenient. The trash system isn’t very efficient, and the kitchen and fridge aren’t cleaned well. The shared bathrooms aren’t the most convenient for everyone.
