“Fantastic stay, great people.”
The huts were clean and quiet, with the only nighttime noise coming from mangoes falling on our roof; the staff were fantastic and treated my 86‑year‑old mother‑in‑law with great respect, while activities were easily arranged through Brian. A highlight was island hopping on Brian’s cousin’s boat, and we also arranged transportation to and from Puerto Princesa, a tour of the subterranean river, and a final shopping stop before our flight. The resort sits on the edge of town, but the town was easily reachable by walking along the beach. The resort was quiet and it was nice to sit by the water; meals were great, and the dinners by the beach were fantastic. For one meal, Brian and Angie took us to the seafood market to pick what to cook for dinner, and Angie is a great cook! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort and highly recommend a stay. At the time of our visit, Port Barton was rationing power; the resort’s generator kicked in for a while when the town’s power was off, but the wifi also went down. This was not the resort’s fault and was not unique to it, but people should know what to expect if fuel rationing continues.
