Two nights at the lodge felt like a slice of paradise—so close to nature it was almost surreal. From the balcony we spotted deer, mountain goats, and even kangaroos, and we got up close to baby goats by the river. A whole day spent gold panning right outside our room was unforgettable. Pete and Sue were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and down‑to‑earth. We’re already planning our next visit—highly recommend!

Peter and Sue greeted us warmly upon arrival, and their hospitality was top notch. The location was spot‑on, and the rooms were clean and comfy—nothing needed fixing.

The cottage was cozy and well kept, hosted by a lovely couple who made sure our kids were taken care of. We fed the sheep and roasted marshmallows by the fire at night. Definitely coming back for our next Sofala trip.
