The location was truly perfect and central, but it was a shame that they were renovating and that the metro ran right under the room, which you could definitely hear.

The only highlight was the central location. The staff were friendly but not very helpful. They gave a small birthday treat, which was nice. The main issue was that the hotel was under construction and the website didn’t warn us; we only found out after the reservation was confirmed and received an internal message. Because the booking was non‑cancellable, we couldn’t cancel for the inconvenience. We asked for a quiet room to rest, but the interior courtyard meant all rooms had noise. It was unbearable: construction workers started at 6 am with shouting and hammering, and it went on until at least 5 pm, even on Saturday, despite the front desk assuring us that weekends would be quiet. Cleaning was nonexistent: the bed was left on top of the mattress, sheets weren’t changed, towels were re‑hung instead of replaced. One day a staff member entered our room and we weren’t sure if they cleaned; we noticed a window left open and suspected a burglary because the supposed “cleaning” was clearly missing. The front desk said that if you don’t leave a note, they assume you don’t need cleaning, and that should be communicated at check‑in. I don’t understand why there’s a “please clean my room” sign if I don’t want them to come in. The room was spacious but would have benefited from a small fridge (especially after we received a sparkling wine for the birthday that we had to drink warm). The reception closed at 8 pm, so we couldn’t order ice there. In short, the hotel only fulfills its basic purpose: it’s central and the bed and shower are comfortable, but next time I’d choose a traditional hotel instead of a half‑time reception with a code entry that feels insecure.

The room was super cozy and close to everything, and we even got it early before check‑in. Unfortunately, the fridge didn’t work while we were there.

Staying in the heart of Pest, just a stone's throw from the main sights, the beds and pillows were comfy, but the room was cramped and dim, the fridge the size of a shoebox, and there were no cupboards or drawers so I couldn't pack.
