“Horrible smell of smoke in every room. The rating of this accommodation is definitely not real!”

The staff were helpful, but the rooms are supposedly non‑smoking and every room had a stomach‑churning smell of smoke. When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor that smelled terribly, so the staff quickly moved us to a room on the top floor, which was just as unbearable. They suggested we open the door to the roof terrace in the hallway in front of the elevator, leave the room door open, and ventilate that way. We tried to sleep at night with the hallway door open, but the sour tobacco smell came from everything in the room—walls, furniture, bedding, etc. There were many other problems with the room, such as its size, cleanliness, and noise, but the smell made it completely unbearable. During the one night we spent there, all our clothes absorbed that horrible odor. Our reservation was originally for 8 days, but after that sleepless night we booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express one street away—whose Booking rating is worse than this hotel—and moved there. There, for a similar amount, we got a room three times larger, fragrant and clean with breakfast. We did not get our accommodation fee back.

It was a nice experience, a clean hotel close to everything—shops, transport, and the restaurant. The staff were listening and helpful. I regret not staying more than 4 nights.
