Located 15 minutes from Ringsted, Hotel Sørup Herregaard is a renovated manor house set amid gardens, lakes and a historic moat. Rooms feature flat‑screen TVs, minibars, private bathrooms with showers and scenic rural views. Free on‑site parking and Wi‑Fi complement amenities such as a swimming pool, mini‑golf, park walks and an outdoor terrace for al‑fresco dining.

The setting and the peace were nice, but the beds were low quality.

There were parking spots right in front of the hotel. We had a room with a roof drain, and to get into it we had to climb a very narrow staircase with two large suitcases, which was a hassle. The rooms were also very sparsely furnished. The hotel would benefit from more attention here and there; it’s getting old. The staff were chaotic and not very attentive.

The surroundings, the food, and the renovated room were all good. It was a bit noisy, so the sounds from the room above in the evenings were somewhat disturbing. Also, everything was booked at the restaurant Saturday night. I would have liked to know about that Friday night, since I ate there.
