The room was spacious, clean, and very well furnished. The food was great and the staff excellent.

“An overnight stay in a somewhat unconventional hotel”

The spot was convenient, the room was tidy and roomy, and the owner/manager welcomed us warmly; the bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean and very spacious. Still, the whole setup felt oddly “garden room”‑ish, with a very basic entrance and a small courtyard where plants were suffering from the heat, and we had to pay for parking, which had few other guests and plenty of space. The meal, which we had to pre‑order upon arrival, was okay, but the place was deserted with only one other couple staying there, and compared to the hotels we’d been in all week, it was very overpriced.

“Nice hotel but don't park there!”

The building was lovely with very comfortable and clean rooms, a nice bar, and a good breakfast, though the breakfast was pricey and parking cost £8 on top. There were only a handful of guests and plenty of space, but you still had to pay £8, something we never had to pay at any other hotel, even in busy big cities.

“Will never stay again”

The room was clean and comfortable, but the communal areas were unlit and not heated, no food was served, and the bar was closed—felt like a ghost hotel. The reception wasn’t even staffed when I checked out. The £8 a night car parking charge was insulting, supposedly to cover CCTV that wasn’t even finished when I stayed. Basil Faulty would have been better than the owner/manager who tried to explain it to me.

“Want to take my partner back there so she can experience it too”

The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. I can’t think of any negatives.
